Welcome Dr. Russell Jayne

Eye Institute of Nevada is honored to announce that Dr. Russell Jayne is joining our medical staff as one of our first faculty ophthalmologists. Dr. Jayne will provide medical retina specialty care in our clinics. The Eye Institute is pleased that patients needing retina exams and in-office lasers and procedures will receive care from such a well-regarded specialist.

Russell P. Jayne, MD is a board certified retina specialist, who has practiced in Las Vegas since 1999. Dr. Jayne is a fellowship trained vitreo-retina specialist. He received his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. Dr. Jayne completed his residency in ophthalmology and his fellowship in medical and surgical retina at University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City. Before moving to Las Vegas, Dr. Jayne also practiced as a retina specialist in Memphis Tennessee and Hot Springs Arkansas.

Dr. Jayne has built an excellent reputation as a compassionate doctor in the care of patients dealing with diseases that impact the retina (macular degeneration, diabetes, and others). Dr. Jayne is a long-time, active member of The American Society of Retina Specialists, Schepens International Society and Clark County Medical Society. Dr. Jayne has also been a clinical adjunct assistant professor in the training of medical students in multiple states.
